Matthew Sweet talks to Clive James, celebrated Australian essayist and commentator on culture both high and low, about the latest instalment of his memoirs, 'Blaze of Obscurity', which tackles his years as a TV critic.

Matthew explores the work of Agnes Varda - the first lady of French New Wave cinema, whose five decade career as a pioneering female director is examined in her new film The Beaches of Agnes, with guests Emilie Bickerton and Ginette Vincendeau.

And theatre director Daniel Kramer on Prick Up Your Ears, a new play by Simon Bent playing at the Comedy Theatre in London. It charts the turbulent relationship between playwright Joe Orton and his lover Kenneth Halliwell, played by Matt Lucas.
