Jonathan Swain presents music from the 2009 Baltic Sea Festival in Sweden and the work of its founders, conductors Valery Gergiev and Esa-Pekka Salonen. The themes of the festival are peace and reconciliation, and performances include work specially composed for the occasion, as well as two blockbusters.
