Bournemouth SO/Kirill Karabits
Kirill Karabits conducts the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in music by Martinu, plus Bruch's Violin Concerto No 1 with soloist Renaud Capucon, and Sibelius's Symphony No 2.

Fifty years after the death of the composer Martinu, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and its dynamic young conductor Kirill Karabits contribute to a revival of his music with a performance of the Frescoes of Piero della Francesca.
It is followed by the violin favourite, Bruch's Concerto No 1, which containins both rich expansive melodies for the soloist, French virtuoso Renaud Capucon. One of Sibelius's most popular symphonies rounds off the programme. A work with both tension and a Mediterranean warmth, it was began writing it while the composer was holidaying in Italy.
