Suzi heads back to 1981 with music from Smokey Robinson, Bob Seger and Hall and Oates.
Tonight Suzi remembers 1981 with music from Heart, Christopher Cross and Don McLean. Ronald Reagan took the oath as America's 40th President and survived an assassination attempt a couple of months later. The US-Iran agreement freed 52 hostages held in Tehran since 1979; MTV went on the air running round-the-clock music videos, debuting with "Video Killed the Radio Star." The Supreme Court ruled to allow television cameras in the courtroom. Ordinary People won the Oscar for Best Picture and Pacman-mania swept the country.
