Electro guru Mark Jones is joined by Ultravox founder John Foxx to discus synth music past and present.
Electro guru and Wall of Sound label boss Mark Jones presents the fifth in his series of 'Back To The Phuture' 6 Mix shows, joining the dots between synth music past and present. In this edition of the show, Mark is joined by Ultravox founder and synth musician John Foxx. Foxx formed Ultravox back in 1973 (when they were called Tiger Lily) and made three albums with the band before leaving in 1979. Since then, Foxx has perused a career as an artist and musician, having a solo hit with 'Underpass' in 1983 and making a number of experiment albums using keyboards. In this programme Foxx talks to Mark about his career as a musician and tells him how tracks by the Beatles, Roxy Music and A Guy Called Gerald have influenced his work.
