Controversial plans for Beauly to Denny power line are expected to be approved by the Scottish government today. Supporters say the 137-mile route will help meet our renewable energy commitments, but objectors believe it will destroy scenic areas such as the Cairngorms National Park and parts of Stirlingshire.
