Piano Concertos
The piano has inspired composers to write more concertos than for any other instrument, and this week Penny Gore introduces a varied selection. Well loved war horses such as those by Gershwin, Schumann and Rachmaninov sit alongside lesser known but equally attractive examples by Malcolm Arnold, Scriabin and Jolivet.
