Nigel Ogden presents a programme of popular organ recordings with entertaining pieces from the organ world.

A bit of a nostalgia trip this evening with music from four organists who all had at least one thing in common. It was nothing more than mere coincidence that a significant number of people with the name of Reginald ended up in the theatre organ profession in the 1930's but that's exactly what happened and four of them in particular found their way to the top of that particular tree. As it's the centenary of the birth of one of them this month and as it's also twenty five and thirty years this year since the death of two of the others, I thought we'd take a look back this evening and remember the music of those four particularly well-known Reginalds. That's Mr Dixon, Mr Porter-Brown, Mr New and Mr Foort.
