It's double trouble on Marc's show with a session from The Magnetic Field's Stephin Merritt, who'll be performing solo on his ukulele, plus a full electric set from The Kabeedies.
Double trouble tonight with sessions from The Magnetic Field's Stephin Merritt who will be doing a solo session on his ukulele and The Kabeedies who'll do a full electric session.
The band is recognizable for Merrit's lyrics, often about love, that are by turns ironic, bitter, and humorous. Their best known work is likely the critically lauded 1999 three-volume concept album 69 Love Songs. It was followed in the succeeding years by a "no-synth" trilogy: i (2004), Distortion (2008), and Realism (2010).
The Kabeedies - 2009 saw the norwich 4 piece tour the uk in april in support of their 3rd single ' little brains ' and the summer spent going nuts at uk festivals such as kendal calling , wickerman and summer sundae followed by a trip to hamburg were the crowd @ dockville wouldnt allow them to leave the stage despite 3 encores !
