Sasha is intrigued when Jac acts oddly around a patient. Oliver plays dirty to curry favour with Connie. Mark rails against Vanessa to win compensation for Maria.
Jac is spooked when she sees a patient named Paula Burrows being admitted to her ward. Sacha notices Jac's odd behaviour and she confesses that Paula is her long lost mother. Paula has kidney damage and needs a transplant.
Ollie is determined to get into Connie and Elliot's good books and even pinches Penny's place in theatre to do it. But his behaviour is witnessed by a pretty agency nurse who tells him a few home truths and leaves him with a large bar bill.
Mark tries to win compensation for Maria, but she decides not to go for it after being threatened by Vanessa. Mark is so angry he decides to resign.
