Aspiring actor Gary Garner, psychic Shirley Ghostman and documentary filmmaker Brendan Allen arrive in Hollywood from England in pursuit of their dreams. Gary visits actress Ruta Lee for some advice before going to have his headshot taken by a professional photographer, Shirley installs himself into a luxury hotel without having the money to pay for it and Brendan floats what he thinks is an unprecedented idea for an underwater film about sharks.
