Russell celebrates the arrival of May, and anniversaries including the birth of songwriter Doris Fisher and the 95th birthday of bandleader-arranger Van Alexander.

The arrival of the month of May prompts a "May-Fest" from Russell this week. He features Hoagy Carmichael's One Morning In May, Larry Hart's Mountain Greenery (On the First Of May), and there are further contributions from Billy May (with Sinatra) and singer Tina May.

There are numerous anniversaries to celebrate too, including the birth of songwriter Doris Fisher and 95th birthday of bandleader-arranger Van Alexander.
