Louise Fryer presents music from orchestras of Radio France. Mahler: Blumine. Schubert: Symphony No 8 (Unfinished). Mahler: Das klagende Lied. Bruckner: Symphony No 9 in D minor.

Today's programme could be subtitled 'beginnings and endings'. A pair of unfinished symphonies are teamed with music from the very beginning of Mahler's career - a symphonic movement originally composed for his 1st symphony and a choral cantata based on a fairy-tale about knights, castles and minstrels.
