The new series following the life-saving work of the medics of a mobile intensive care service for children continues. The highly specialised emergency teams from the Children's Acute Transport Service, CATS, make sure critically ill children who need intensive care get it, wherever they are.
A baby is flown nearly fifteen hundred miles for life-saving surgery; CATS have to work in a cramped and noisy Hercules aircraft. They are also called to a toddler who has a massive chest infection; and a little boy has a virus that is attacking his heart.
