Farming Today This Week

The UK drinks market is worth billions of pounds but very little of that product comes from here. Charlotte Smith asks if British farmers are missing out on a lucrative industry.

In the UK we spend more than 脗拢1bn a year on chilled and yoghurt drinks and another 脗拢10bn on alcohol - just to drink at home. Charlotte Smith looks at how some farmers have diversified into the drinks industry - pressing fruit or brewing their own barley. Some have been forced into the industry to survive but Farming Today This Week asks if there's more room in the market which some farmers may be missing. Produced by Anne-Marie Bullock.
