New US GDP figures for April to June are expected to show that growth in the United States has slowed for the first time since the nation emerged from recession last year. Reports overnight suggest the French electricity company, EDF, has agreed to sell it's British power grids to a consortium led by the Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-Shing for 拢5.5 billion. Britain's pubs continue to suffer from falling sales after a poor showing during the World Cup. Finally, British Airways is expected to post millions of pounds in losses for the first quarter of the year.
