The outgoing Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire police, Julie Spence, says drivers consider speeding acceptable and only change their minds if they lose a child. Is she right?
Nigel Humphries from the Association of British Drivers says we are defining speed limits which bear no relation to anything and that speeding isn't dangerous in every circumstance. Ellen Booth from the road safety charity BRAKE believes we should be tougher on speeding.
