In the New Forest, she learns of the vital part mushrooms play in the forest eco-system, before visiting the hamlet of Buckler's Hard, with its remarkable shipbuilding history.

After crossing Southampton Water by ferry, Liz heads for her final destination, the National Oceanography Centre, where she learns of its far-reaching research into the mysteries of the world's oceans.
