The young Montreal-born Yannick N茅zet-S茅guin has quickly become one of the names to watch among conductors. He brings the orchestra of which he is now Music Director to the Proms for a concert that includes one of Wagner's early operatic overtures and Beethoven's groundbreaking 3rd Symphony. Orchestra and conductor are joined by one of the world's leading baritones, Simon Keenlyside, for Mahler's poignant songs setting poems by Friedrich R眉ckert on the subjects of life, love and death.
