Sarah begins a tour of Britain discovering the famous sons and daughters of towns the length and breadth of Great Britain. She starts today in Northampton, birthplace of Alan Civil, and heads north to Mansfield, Sheffield and Liverpool with music including Tchaikovsky's Manfred Symphony and Schumann's Genoveva Overture.
