4/4
Bryan Cooney meets some of our top sportsmen and women who today are thought of as great but history will consider them to be all time legends of their game.
Jim Watt's first love was football but it was his career as a boxer that brought him international recognition.
Following a successful amateur career Watt turned professional and when he defeated Colombian Alfredo Pitalua in Glasgow in 1979 he became the world lightweight champion, a title that he successfully defended four times.
Chatting to Bryan, Jim recalls his early days in Glasgow. He explains why he turned down the opportunity to compete at the Olympics and talks about how, after stepping out of the ring for the last time, boxing opened a new world to him as a respected boxing pundit.
