Nihal asks - are you fed up of people criticising cousin marriages? Plus Andrew Mitchell speaks about the Pakistan floods and entrepreneur Suleman Sacranie joins us.
At 1, Nihal asks, 'Are you fed up of people criticising cousin marriages?' A documentary on Channel 4 focuses on the tragic consequences of cousin marriages, according to this documentary hundreds of children are born with genetic disorders after their parents - who are first cousins - marry.
It's a custom practised by some from the Pakistani and Bangladeshi community. And some Parsis also marry their cousins in order to preserve their customs.
It's fair to say that many from the Asian community have heard of stories of cousin marriages. How do you feel about cousin marriages? Do you feel it's an outdated concept? What about the cultural benefits of cousin marriages? Do you feel it's a bad custom that we need to put an end to? Or is it a good custom that needs to be preserved? We want to hear you opinion and thoughts on this. Pick up the phone and give Nihal a call.
After 2, Andrew Mitchell Secretary of State for International Development speaks to Nihal about the recent floods in Pakistan. And later, Nihal speaks to Young Entrepreneur Suleman Sacranie the founder of the web version of '99p' store.
