大象传媒 PROMS 2010

Live from the Royal Albert Hall, London

Presented by Martin Handley

Glyndebourne Festival Opera brings Hansel und Gretel to the Proms. Humperdinck's tuneful opera adds layers of psychological meaning to Grimm's fairy tale of abandoned children, absent parents and things that go bump in the woods at night. A delicious blend of styles from the fairy-music of Mendelssohn to the opulent harmonies and orchestration of Wagner, this is children's opera for grown-ups.
