Are You Chris Hawkins?

Move over, Keaveny! There's a new Elvis impersonator in town. He's called Chris Hawkins.

Haven't heard the Hawk show before? Well, if you're an early riser you could help Chris, and his long-suffering producer Slev, pick a 5.15 track - the first request of the day on 6 Music - you can pick anything you like. There's also a 大象传媒 weather forecast from one of the forecasters off the telly - it really is a weather report like no other. And if you like useless bits of musical information then The Rockbook Files will fill you in on what happened on this day in history. However, we think the best part of the show has to be the ridiculous chat in between the great records, new and old.

Music came from the likes of The Stone Roses, Kelis, Inner City, Steely Dan and there was an exclusive recording at 0620, ahead of the Mercury Music Awards tonight, by nominees Paul Weller and Corinne Bailey Rae. You also played the search engine name game, along with Hawk and Slev, which unearthed an Elvis impersonator called Chris Hawkins. What a nice man he was too. To finish off the random-mess of the show was quite possibly the best RockBook Files yet, which included a storming classic by Chic to celebrate the birthday of singer Alfa Anderson. 'Surreal' doesn't cover it really.
