The man often referred to as the "modfather" - Paul Weller - talks about the inspiration behind his 10th solo album, the passion he still has for song-writing and performing and why he refuses to jump on the nostalgia bandwagon.

Described as "a young Ella Fitzgerald" and "the most talented singer since Judy Garland", 16-year-old Canadian singing sensation Nikki Yanofsky talks about her debut album, headlining the Montreal Jazz Festival at the age of 12 and what it was like to perform to a tv audience of 3.2 billion at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

K T Tunstall did it at Belladrum and Robert Plant wowed them in a converted church. Radiohead got in on the act at Glastonbury and Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos surprised them at the Wickerman festival. Even Kylie has done it ... in a country pub!
