The weekend starts here! Alex provides laughs and great music on The Best Time of the Day Show. More from Record and Album of the Week, and Lester's and Listener's Libraries.

It's the best way to start your weekend by tuning into the Best Time of the Day Show with Alex. Every Friday is a Feelgood Friday which means even more great tunes and inspired daftness to keep you happy through the night. This morning there are more mini-biographies, or "Bio Texts", as we call them. More suggestions for what to buy Alex's dad on his birthday; what do you buy an 84-year-old who has everything? And cringe all over again with those cheesy one-liners that somebody always comes up with in certain situations; it's Predictive Chat. Clare Catford provides Pause for Thought at 3.20am and the 4.15 One-Off Canteen opens its doors for the final time this week.
From Lester's Library there is a new track from alternative country duo, Kort, plus the latest single release from I Am Kloot. The Listener's Library track is a perfect Feelgood Friday pleaser from Gary Wright. There is one more track from Album of the Week by Caro Emerald, and another chance to hear Record of the Week from Jamiroquai. Nobody else, nowhere else.
