Iain Duncan Smith joins Anita Anand, sitting in for Kate. Plus the 5 live Forum asks whether we still need two British institutions: the Commonwealth, and the House of Lords.

As the Conservative conference gets underway, we hear from 'The Quiet Man' - but does he have the determination to see his welfare reform plans made reality, in the face of the huge cuts demanded by the Treasury? Iain Duncan Smith, our 10 o'Clock interview, says he's not finding the money to pay for the reforms from more cuts to his welfare budget - so where will the money come from?

In the 5 live Forum, the political editor of the Sunday Mirror Vincent Moss is joined by libertarian Suzy Dean, and a former Conservative parliamentary candidate Chris Philp to discuss the point of the Commonwealth, as the Games get underway. Is it a world force for development and democracy, or an outdated imperialist hangover? And the House of Lords returns from recess on Tuesday, but what's the point of it - is it an essential protector of democracy, or just an old boys' club?

And Rahul Tandon's our man in Delhi, describing the disruption to the city caused by the Commonwealth Games, which get underway in the presence of Prince Charles today.
