Champions Chelsea, meanwhile, travel to Eastlands looking for revenge, having lost both games against City last season.

There's a London derby at Upton Park where West Ham will be desperate to avoid a sixth successive defeat to Tottenham, who are led by former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp. West Brom visit Arsenal, where they have not won for 27 years, while the capital's third game sees Fulham host Everton.

Liverpool take on Sunderland at Anfield, plus Birmingham meet Wigan and Blackpool face Blackburn.
