As the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 80th anniversary, Louise Fryer presents a week of performances by the Orchestra and its twelve Chief Conductors since 1930. Featuring great soloists, premieres, Proms and the Orchestra on tour. We start today with the early days - from 1930 to 1949, when Sir Adrian Boult was at the helm.
