Sun River, Utah
Unhealthy young Brits Sophie, Waqar, Jenie and Anthony must spend a week shaping up with super-fit American pensioners Marsha, Richard, Tom and Pam in Utah.
In America, the twilight years have become a new dawn. The pensioners of Sun River, Utah aren't clapped out old bangers, they are fully restored vintage classics, exercising every day to live long and healthy lives. But what happens when you send four young unfit, unhealthy Brits to live with some of the fittest pensioners in the world?
21-year-old layabout cider binger Sophie Malatynski, 22-year-old kebab-munching smoker Waqar Ali, 19-year-old caffeine-loving pizza gobbler Jenie Keen and 22-year-old hardcore raver Anthony Massey are about to have their worlds turned upside down. For a week they will stay with 65-year-old Marsha Glass and her 62-year-old husband Richard, and 66-year-old Tom Mooney and his 65-year-old wife Pam.
The hosts might be in their retirement years, but all four don't stop until they drop. From weight lifting to zumba, they are all looking forward to re-educating the lazy young Brits into healthy living.
Back in Blighty the young Brits are fuelled by fags, booze and junk food, but during this life-changing week they are forced to ditch the pizza and kebabs, adopt the pensioners' punishing fitness programme and be pushed to breaking point.
At the end of the week, they lace up their boots as they take on the four senior hikers in a race through the mountains to find out if they really are fitter than a pensioner.
Can raver Anthony detox his way to victory? Will grumpy Jenie lighten her mood and pull together for the team? And how will the Brits fare in the big race - will they hike their way to victory or suffer defeat at the hands of super-fit pensioners?
