Less defence spending, greater danger? Big spending cuts are expected in the strategic defence and security review. Nicky Campbell asks whether this will put us in danger.
With Nicky Campbell. Big spending cuts are expected in the strategic defence and security review. It's already emerged that the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal is to be scrapped early and cuts are expected to affect all services. Will spending less on defence put Britain in danger?
Guests include Robert Fox, defence correspondent at the London Evening Standard , who says resources will be spread far too thinly, and Albert Beale from the Peace Pledge Union, who says spending less on defence will make us safer - we would attack fewer people and they would then be less likely to attack us.
