Episode 10
Cookery challenge hosted by Michel Roux Jr and Gregg Wallace. The chefs must cook fennel-stuffed sea bass and Italian meringue with fruit compote. Two of the four are eliminated.
Legendary double Michelin starred chef Michel Roux Jnr and Masterchef dining expert Gregg Wallace are joined by Michel's sous Chef Monica Galetti, as they hunt for a young chef who has what it takes to go to the top of the culinary world.
In this heat, four chefs must deal with the pressure of a nail-biting elimination round. In front of the watching Monica and Gregg they have to earn the right to cook for the legendary Michel. Each chef must demonstrate they have the necessary skills and palate by cooking an Italian meringue and serving it with fruit compote. At the end of it one will go home.
The three remaining chefs then face one more gruelling elimination challenge. Michel cooks a classic recipe of fennel-stuffed sea bass cooked in paper before asking the chefs to recreate the dish in just 60 minutes. After judging each plate on presentation and flavour, Michel and Gregg send one more chef home. The two remaining make it through to the quarter-final and a step closer to winning the title of Professional Masterchef.
