Mary Ann Kennedy presents the latest sounds from around the world and three musicians from Rajasthan in session, with British-Tamil vocalist Susheela Raman and guitarist Sam Mills.

Nathoo Lal Solanki, from Pushkar in Rajasthan, is the acknowledged master of the nagara stick-drumming traditions, and comes from a long line of temple drummers. Kutle Khan is a young rising singing star, a great vocalist and improviser he is also a superb percussionist and expert on the emblematic instruments of Rajasthan like the morchang (jaw harp) the kartal (castanets). Male Khan is one of the very few remaining players of the Narh Flute.

These three performers give captivating performances of the distinctive music of Rajasthan, and are joined by renowned British-Tamil vocalist Susheela Raman, and guitarist Sam Mills, for a taste of the collaboration they have been building over the last few years.
