Ricky Ross and guests stimulate and inspire your Sunday morning. This week it's a day for giving, whether money or time. And we find out if there's a God-shaped hole in our lives.
This week's Sundays with Ricky Ross is a day of giving - whether it's your money or your time! On the 175th anniversary of Andrew Carnegie's birth, Ricky and his guests talk about philanthropy and how it has changed. With a shrinking of the state and David Cameron's Big Society, we find out if it's return to the old days with wealthy families expected to help pay for it all. And it's Mitzvah Day as well as Sewa Day this Sunday, which means many faith groups will be out this weekend giving up their time and energy to help others.
Do we have a God shaped hole in our lives? Psychologist Jesse Bering thinks so.he'll be explaining to Ricky how we humans have develeoped an instinct for God over millions of years.
And Ricky takes a peek inside St Andrews Cathedral which is currently undergoing a 4 million pound renovation..he as well as Arch Bishop Mario Conti can't hide their excitement!
Lots of great music too including Ray Charles and Iris Dement.
