From the Wigmore Hall, London, Suzy Klein introduces a recital by tenor Padmore. Schumann: Four Songs originally for Dicherliebe; Liederkreis. Lachner: Heine Lieder.

In the bicentenary year of Schumann's birth, one of this country's most highly acclaimed tenors - Mark Padmore - performs his song cycle Liederkreis Op. 24, songs originally intended for the composer's celebrated cycle of settings by Heine - Dichterliebe ('A Poet's Love') - as well as other settings of Heine from Franz Paul Lachner's first S盲ngerfahrt ('A Bard's Journey'), marking 120 years since Lachner's death.
