Christmas Special

Julian Joseph presents a Christmas special from Whitgift School, Croydon featuring the 大象传媒 Big Band under Barry Forgie. Julian performs music from his children's opera Shadowball.

Jazz Line-Up's Christmas Show goes to Whitgift School, Croydon and stages the 大象传媒 Big Band conducted by Barry Forgie, featuring and presented by Julian Joseph.
In this special programme star music pupils from the school will get the opportunity to perform an item with the Big Band especially written for them by Barry Forgie.
Radio 3's New Generation Jazz Artist, Shabaka Hutchings will be performing with the band, and also Julian Joseph is at the piano, playing music from his Children's Opera 'Shadowball'. The 大象传媒 Big Band perform traditional music given a modern arrangement for band by such luminaries as Steve Gray and Dick Walter.
