The Lying Kind
Medical drama series. Connie feels the pressure while trying to cope with her father's worsening health and the demands of her job. Ollie makes a mistake in surgery.
Connie's reassurances that her father's operation is simply routine comes back to bite her when things go wrong in theatre. Coping with her father's vulnerability, progressive dementia and worsening health proves very difficult for Connie and she covets the respite that work offers. But when Greg confronts her about her plan to push Elliott out of his job, it feels as if her things are crumbling around her. Can she take charge of her life and deal with her father's needs or put herself first?
Following his ill-fated time on Darwin, Ollie is desperate to make his mark on AAU. But the pressure of the ward soon mounts up on him and seeing an old patient from Darwin throws him completely. With his confidence on a knife edge, Ollie loses his nerve in theatre, showing himself up in front of Michael. With Penny climbing the ladder, will Ollie ever catch her up?
Greg is less than happy to be teamed with Elliot on the ward and is frustrated with his haphazard approach. However, when Elliot's leftfield tactics come good when he identifies an obscure illness, Greg can't help but respect him. Greg is shocked to discover Connie has sold Elliot down the river and can't believe someone as talented as Elliot is being pushed out of Holby.
