The best way to start the week with brilliant music and hilarious chat on the Best Time of the Day Show. There's a new Record and Album of the Week, plus more Library selections.

Start another week with Alex who will entertain you in the small hours with his eclectic playlist and unique brand of conversation. This morning, Dr Strangelove returns to the show and he has brought with him some new threads. First up, there's "Smells Like Beef Fillet" in which Alex takes suggestions for launching his own scent; names being considered include Beard, Soil and Fwart. Next up, we are replacing those joyful little poems and signs that teach us about etiquette and manners... with much more blunt versions in "Like It or Lump It". The 4.15 One-Off Canteen is back in business and there is more Pause for Thought at 3.20am.
There's a new Album of the Week from Teddy Thompson and Record of the Week from Hurts. From Lester's Library there is classic 80s rock from Tygers of Pan Tang, and something new from Fake Lazy Supernovas. The Listener's Library selection one of The Police's lesser-known hits.
Nobody else, nowhere else.
