Clare Teal presents a tribute to jazz discographer Brian Rust, who died in January, by playing some of his best-loved music including Duke Ellington, Jack Hylton and Count Basie.
Clare Teal pays tribute to jazz discogrpaher Brian Rust by playing the tracks he felt were most important or that he particularly enjoyed. Featuring music from Duke Ellington, Jack Hylton, Lew Stone, Fletcher Henderson and Count Basie. Brian sadly passed away at the beginning of January at the age of 88; he'd been a librarian at the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Gramophone library from 1945 to 1960 and was best known in the jazz world for making the first complete discography of jazz music from 1897 to 1942, along with other publications indispensible to the avid jazz record collector.
