Gillian Marles with the stories and issues making the news in business. With Egypt in turmoil, the programme speaks to companies relying on the country for some of their income.
This week on Business Scotland....The extraordinary events in Egypt have made headlines around the world. But closer to home, the uncertainty and disruption they've created are having an impact on Scottish businesses.
We speak to companies who rely on trade links with Egypt. An importer waits anxiously for a tanker laden with Egyptian salt. And a building management company in Stirlingshire wonders if it will ever do business in the country again.
Also on the programme, a new loan fund was set up for Scottish businesses this week -- 55 million pounds up for grabs ...who qualifies and how do you get your hands on the money.
Taking part in the programme are Angus Craig of Peacock Salt and Stan Mitchell from Key Facilities Management. Mr Taher el-Sherif of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce talks about his hopes for the country.
Economist Tony Mackay and oil analyst Nick McGregor debate the merits and disadvantages of the high oil price.
And Andrew Craig from Maven Capital Partners talks about the Scottish Loan Fund and explains how companies apply.
