Rangers v St Johnstone
Rob Maclean presents live coverage from Hampden Park as holders Rangers meet Motherwell with both teams vying for a place in the first major final of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
A place in the first major final of the Scottish domestic football season awaits the winner of this match. Holders Rangers continue their defence of the trophy in Walter Smith's last season as manager, a competition he has already won five times over two spells at the helm of the Ibrox club.
Rangers have won the League Cup 26 times, more than any other Scottish side. Their opponents
today have, by comparison, won this competition only once - in 1950. There's added interest as Stuart McCall, who took over the in the Motherwell dugout last month after Craig Brown left to become Aberdeen manager, was a key player at Ibrox in the 1990s during Walter Smith's first stint as Rangers manager.
To get to this stage the Steelmen defeated Brechin 2-0 at Glebe Park in September before overcoming Dundee Utd 1-0 in the last round. Rangers enjoyed a 7-2 demolition of Dunfermline and then a 2-0 win over a plucky Kilmarnock side at Rugby Park.
Including highlights of yesterday's semi-final between Aberdeen and Celtic.
