Aberdeen fans will be hoping that their recent revival under Craig Brown and Archie Knox continues in the Scottish Cup, a trophy they last lifted back in 1990. However, the new management team will have to reverse a recent trend which has seen the Dons go out of Cup competitions to lower league opposition - including to today's opponents in a quarter-final penalty shoot out two seasons ago. The Pars should again provide a difficult challenge - they are currently one of the form teams in the First Division and are pushing hard for promotion to the SPL under manager Jim McIntyre. They last won the trophy themselves in 1968 during the golden age of the Fife club.
