San Francisco Symphony in Tchaikovsky: Fantasy Overture (Romeo and Juliet). Mozart: Symphony No 34. Mahler: Das Lied von der Erde. Plus music by Mendelssohn and Dvorak.

This year the San Francisco Symphony celebrates its Centenary, and Afternoon on 3 features a week of concert performances from the Orchestra. Today's programme includes one of Mahler's most personal works, Das Lied von der Erde, performed by Stuart Skelton and Thomas Hampson, and conducted by the San Francisco Symphony's music director, Michael Tilson Thomas.
