Episode 2
After a week working as carers in a retirement village, Jace, Estenitia, Zoe and Johnny take a group of eight elderly residents on a holiday to Cornwall. Tempers soon flare.
Britain is getting older: its fastest growing age range is 85-plus, but the number of multi-generational homes is rapidly declining. Increasingly, elderly people are living in care homes and retirement villages rather than with families and, as a result, a huge number of old people have little or no contact with young people.
After spending a week working as carers in a retirement village, Jace, Estenitia, Zoe and Johnny take a group of eight elderly residents on a holiday to Cornwall. Tempers soon flare as the reality of living together under the same holiday home roof kicks in, but unlikely friendships between the generations soon flourish. Estenitia discovers a softer side to strict authoritarian Margaret, and 69-year-old Trevor proves vital in helping Jace come to a decision about his estranged father.
