Kirsty Young and Angela Rippon

Desert island gatekeeper Kirsty Young on The British At Work; Comic Relief's Angela Rippon on life in the slums; and your problems solved in Help!

Desert island gatekeeper Kirsty Young sits in the interviewee's chair for once, as she joins Richard in the studio to discuss her new 大象传媒 Two series The British At Work, which looks at British working lives since the Second World War.

She explains why we are defined more than ever by the work we do, why presenting Desert Island Discs is the best job on radio, and why she really loves the ballet.

Angela Rippon, Richard's next guest, talks with Kirsty about their shared love of ballet, and puts Richard straight on the plotline of Swan Lake. Angela used to be Chairman of the English National Ballet.

In the second hour, Angela stays with us to talk about her anger at conditions in Kibera, one of the biggest slums in Africa, and what she sees as the denial of the Kenyan Government that there are problems there. She visited with other celebrity guests for 大象传媒 One's Comic Relief: Famous, Rich and In The Slums.

Phil Vickery, Aggie McKenzie and Oliver Heath join Richard for Help!
Phil addresses the product placement introduced to This Morning, but can he remember the brand of the product? Elsie is helped with a recipe for gluten-free Yorkshire puddings, a porridge pan is cleaned and Phil tells us the best way to make pasta.
