Senegalese singer and World Music superstar Baaba Maal joins Gideon for the first hour of his show to talk about his career and his latest work, a collaboration with the British playwright and actor Kwame Kwei-Armah, 'Tales from the Sahel', and his forthcoming Womad appearance. Plus archive concerts tonight from Spiritualized and the Psychedelic Furs. Featured sessions from Leeds shoegazers Pale Saints, Supergrass, at the height of their Britpop fame in 1995 and and ace DJ's remixers and club hosts Simian Mobile Disco in their live group incarnation.
