Episode 6
Cookery competition. Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace ask the nine remaining contestants to cook for the paying public under top chefs at leading London restaurants.
After four weeks of intense culinary competing, only the nine most talented amateur cooks remain in the battle to become this year's MasterChef Champion.
In this show, judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace apply the pressure by asking the 9 amateurs to step up to the fire and fury of their first professional service. They all dream of becoming professional but the reality hits home as they try to cope cooking under top chefs at leading London restaurants for the paying public. Split between Corrigan's in Mayfair, Suka at The Sanderson, and Brasserie Joel at the Park Plaza, the heat is on for all the amateurs. Who will sink and who will swim in the thick of service?
Then, back at the MasterChef kitchen, the contestants must open their culinary minds to the instinctive; sense- based cooking approach of Michelin starred master, Alexis Gauthier, as they face an invention test with a difference. With no measuring equipment or timers, they will have to rely purely on their natural instincts to create a great dish. The three who show the least flair will have to cook off against each other to save their MasterChef lives.
Only the best will go on for a chance to become MasterChef Champion 2011.
