Mary Ann Kennedy presents a trio of Senegalese brothers in session, Les Fr猫res Guiss茅. The three brothers Djiby, Cheik and Aliou Guiss茅 originate from the Fouta Tooro area in the North of Senegal. Their music, combining poetic lyrics and close harmony singing, two acoustic guitars and a variety of percussion, is based on different rhythms of the Toucouleur, such as the Yela.
