Dotun Adebayo with news from around the world.

It seems the long and tense political stand-off in Ivory Coast could be nearing an end as pressure mounts on the encumbent ruler, Laurent Gbago. In the first half hour Dotun speaks to the aide of the UN-backed President Ouattara and a reporter sheltering from heavy fire.

Behind the scenes at Colonel Gaddafi's compound... Our reporter's been taken for a ride. A doctor in Misrata talks of the problems of working under heavy shelling and the need for new medicines. Plus, after 2 Dotun speaks to the former US state department spokesman, PJ Crowley, about the fighting in Libya and why he criticised the treatment of Private Bradley Manning, the man accused of leaking secret cables to Wikileaks. After his comments he made the decision to resign.

The number seven really is a lucky number for a group of New York office workers. The four men and three women, who are now as the "Albany seven", won a staggering $319 million in a state lottery. Each will pocketed a tidy $19.1 million. But it wasn't all good news.
