With the 40th London Book Fair setting up its stall from the 11th to the 13th of April at Earls Court - and HMV, the owner of Waterstone's, issuing its third profits warning this year - Business Scotland is this week taking a look at book shops and publishing. Douglas Fraser talks to Hugh Andrew, Managing Director of Birlinn - an independent publishing house based in Edinburgh. Gillian Sharpe finds out how independent bookshops are surviving. And with e-books gaining a greater share of the market through Kindles and the like we look at where the industry is heading.
